So it's a show about everyone having babies?

Well not quite. Many of the midwives are nuns. It's an Anglican order and they all live at  "Nonatus House". It's actually about  life as a midwife in a working class area of London (?) in the 1950's.  About human relationships and often about love and compassion.  It's a lovely, gentle show and worth watching imo.

The show has Jenny Agutter,  unforgettable for nude bathing scenes in "Walkabout" (1971) and as the toothsome female lead in "Logan's Run" (1976) Much latter she played a corrupt spy in the terrific BBC series 'Spooks', which ran from 2002 to 2011. It's one of very few series for which I have the box set

Season six is the last for Supergirl. Let's hope they ended it well.

And of course only seven of twenty episodes are currently available of the final season of Supergirl. Stupid Netflix.

So, now onto season five of Riverdale.

There's also a new season of Dynasty (Netflix) available, but first I am going to watch season two of Locke & Key.

Recently finished ‘Hunters’, about a secret cabal of Nazi hunters in New York in the late ‘70s.  Completely engaging - it watches like a Robert Ludlum novel reads in the sense that you know it’s fiction, but you can’t help but wonder. Pacino’s best performance in years, and an almost unrecognizable Josh Radnor.

8/10

Tonight I'm binge watching the last series of The Vikings. Gee, talk about lives which were "nasty, brutish and short"
