Perhaps, but I meant that it’s the difference between “this episode is well-made, with great performances” et. Al, and just saying “I just can’t get into this specific plot.”

Currently watching Kids in the Hall on Amazon. Something really threw me for a loop: they kept censoring the use of the F-slur, even when it's used in a reclaimed manner by the extremely gay Scott McKinney, and even excised the "Running F-----t" skit entirely. And yet, they keep a sketch about a racist cabbie repeatedly using the N-word uncut.

I've been re-watching The West Wing, which appears to be set in an alternate timeline where the US government is functional and its politicians care about what the Constitution actually says. One of my favourite scenes.
