I’ve been watching Guy Ritchie’s ‘Young Sherlock’ and - against my better judgment - I’m quite enjoying it. I reckon that’s the perk of suppressing my fetishistic insistence on adherence to the Holmesian canon.

Watched the first series and liked it well enough (not nearly as much as the film, but I wasn't expecting to). I'll prolly get 'round to season 2 at some point.

I decided to download the rest of the episodes for The Gentleman and to download some of Young Sherlock. Young Sherlock appears to be well received.

I was watching this new TV show, "Lanterns," and it's boring, but I keep watching it. It almost always comes down to two and sometimes three people having long dialogues where they tell side stories and explain what is going on, and now after the few episodes, I realized it became so complicated that I don't know if I can follow it anymore.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
