My quest is someday to have an actual True Believer here at Atheist Forums, who is doing his or her* religion CORRECTLY. I've been here over 3 years, and I have to admit, the steady drizzle of apostates and heretics has been a HUGE disappointment, but I'm resolute someday, we are going to get the REAL DEAL, and then at long last, Atheist Forums can achieve it's original and only goal and purpose; taking on God directly, as revealed in His TRUE FORM and rebutting, rebuking and disproving His fucking ass.
There is no profit, if you will, in perpetually swatting minions of Satan, deluded Scripture cherry pickers, self proclaimed 'Christians' who steadfastly oppose submitting to any and all strictures, edicts, rules, promulgations, commandments, and laws of God they find in any way to be personally inconvenient, and the plain old religious slackers that can't even be bothered to crack open the book of Leviticus and commit all 600+ laws of God to memory.
To date, the lack of such a True Believer ever appearing here is a galling failing of the site. It is why we are here, after all.
Come on God, get cracking and send us SOMEONE WORTHY !
*Obviously, women can't preach to men, so a woman coming here from even the correct form of the Jesus religion is going to have to overcome that problem, but I would entertain arguments as to how that might come to pass.

I keep trying to get the wifey here, but she has absolutely no interest in following the two bit phony's acts. Content to laugh her ass off at them from the sidelines. It's not a problem for her...-she aint preachy, to anyone.....lol. Example 1 in a long list of doing it right.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Aren't there thousands of denominations amidst thousands of religions due to the fact that there is no correct way to do religion?

Sorry, Wyrd, I missed this reply.
Now think about this:
1. Do you know when the Bible got numbered chapters and verses?
Cardinal Langton in the 13th century although others were working on similar schemes.
2. Do you know when the "J" words (John, Judas, Jews, Jerusalem, Joshua, Joseph, etc) were introduced in the biblical stories?
"J" was invented in English in the early 17th century. It started in France a bit earlier. It is safe to assume that once the letter was available they jesus freaks converted their fairy tales to it.
3. Do you know when Yeshua became Jesus?
In Greek it was always Iesou. Presumably this was the closest the Greeks could get to the Aramaic Y'shua. Latin it seems to have been "Iesu" as Holy Grail noted.
The same phrase appears in this translation of Gloria in Excelsis Deo:
Tu solus Altissimus, Iesu Christe.
Cum Sancto Spiritu, in gloria Dei Patris.
4. Do you know when the 14 Apocrypha books were deleted and why?
You are over-generalizing. There are so many bibles....each proclaiming the one true god, of course...and some of them contain the Apocrypha and some reject them. If you want to talk about the catholic bible they are there.
If you didn't know the answers to those basic questions what makes you think you know anything about the history of the Bible?
Again, there are so many bibles each with its own core group of fans. Why should I worry about whichever one you are championing?

Now, now, let's not confuse the faithful.
Surely someone somewhere is doing it right, and can come here and engage us heathens from His exalted and unique viewpoint of Holy Truth.

Fake Messiah quote- some scribes couldn't resist the temptation of gratuitous insertions to bring adornments to their texts..

Prove it..
And what about Buddhist scriptures, have they all been messed about with too?

looks like all religions use the same play book:
making shit up as they go along
retconning prophecies
twisted and contrived distortions of plainly worded scriptures that over time become embarrassing, dangerous or perverted
keeping an eye on the money
endless endless endless instances of passes given for reprehensible conduct in craven quid pro quo situations if the person fucking up is useful to the folks running the religion
selective enforcement of scriptures
did I mention making shit up as they go along ?

Ignoramus quote- He's 50% Poe, 50% troll.

You should look up "Poe's Law." It's nothing to do with Edgar Allen.

"Poe" isn't that useful a concept unless one knows FOR SURE.
I'm still on the fence about Westboro Baptist for Christ's sake . . . .
Grrrrrr
