What are those die hard Trump defenders getting in return for their loyalty?

On television, social media and so on. Are most of these people paid lots of money to defend him and try to rationalize his and his families criminal activity? Is it really worth having power for a months just to see it all go to waste if he is impeached and the GOP gets a permanent scar? Or is this the typical dumb American that can't think for themselves? When will it be too much for these people? How is America really "better" under Trump as these people claim? He really has nothing to show for it. Oh wait, is it because it's a white, Republican male currently sitting in the Oval office? These people are beyond delusional. I have always compared these avid Trump fans to a woman who marries her rapist. At the end of the day, they will be the one's who lose. Meanwhile Trump is thinking "Man, what a bunch of suckers". Do these people honestly think Trump cares about them? Or hell, even respects them?

I was looking at the timeline regarding Clinton's impeachment, and it was not a fast impeachment. Once the investigation began, more than a year went by before he was impeached.

Clinton didn't commit treason. He lied about a blowjob. This was the sum total of an actual witchhunt, the only crime out of so very, very many that wingnuts were sure the Clintons committed, that stuck.

I'm on another forum full of rabid Trumpkins. They called it all a "nothing burger" and "Fake news!" and now they've had to admit move on to "So what? Hilary lost, LOSER!" because they are blinded by Clinton derangement.
A lot of those rabid Trumpkins you see on Twitter/Facebook are never going to admit they were wrong - it's not in them. To the bitter end, they'll go down in flames with him, humiliating themselves in the process. They don't have what it takes to admit they were blinded by their hatred of all things to the left of them so bad, they allowed a business man to use the presidency to engage in treasonous activity for financial gain.

Is the question concerning the rank and file? They get a great big nothingburger - as they've suddenly become fond of, same as they'd get with any other politician. As far as important trumpkins are concerned...they get complicity and complacency - same as they'd get with any other politician. You dance with them what brought you. Russia wants sanctions lifted, republicans want a record breaking tax cut for the upper crust of the upper crust, and the trumpster himself would like a cut of both. So long as any party in this nonsense can hold out a reasonable hope of getting what they want...they persist.
There are no mysteries here, with this administration or any other.
The dems are no different, at least fundamentally, in that they too would like to funnel money to their buddies - but insist that goods and services be provided to maintain the optics. An -actual- trickle down economy, when you think about it. Despite popular belief, neither dems nor repubs are looking to give a single red cent to the rank and file...but one way of delivering to corporate interest incurs a modicum of benefits to said rank and file by default, not as the goal, simply as a necessary consequence. Mandating healthcare, for example...not a socialist utopia - positively wonderful for the insurance industry. They turned record profits. Just like 7/11 would if it were made law that everyone had to buy at least one slurpee a day.
