Candles in church
July 16, 2017 at 7:30 am
I remember that my former religion teacher once told us about a girl who had long hair. She didn't wear a batik at church and her hair cached fire from a lighted candle. The teacher told us, that it would be good if girls with log hair would wear Batiks at church because of that.
I don't know if this story is true, or if she wanted to scare us, but either way it's ridiculous.
What about guys with long hair? Should they be forced to cut their hair short or should they wear batiks too?
A batik isn't inflamable, it can protect you somehow, because it stops your hair form floating around. But tying your hair, without a wearing a batik would be just as effective. Not to mention that your clothes as well as your entire body can catch fire. By my teachers logic, it would be the best not to go to church at all to avoid getting burned, especially because in Romania we use traditional, long candles and we also use them very often.

That's funny... Because long beards on priests is different!
They are actually wearing God's beard of satanic invulnerability. And it helps them look not so gay!)

As you know, they just make up any shit to suit their agenda. Like good Christians, just taking a leaf from the bible.

Anything said by any "religious teacher" any where at any time should be dismissed as utter horseshit from clueless clowns.

Why were they referencing a Klingon fighting weapon?

Actually, I now have another teacher. He is more open mindet, he doesn't really teach us religion in class, he rather talks to us about other subjects, and he has no problem if we don't believe in a God or in an afterlife. He even said that he doesn't have anything against gays. He said "As long as I have a wife, I have no problem if two gays want to marry". People like him shouldn't work for the church.

I look forward to the day churches can only use candles, because they no longer have the money to pay their bills, and sufficient people have realised what nonsense Christianity is. The churches will just be of architectural and historical importance, or turned into pubs, clubs, restaurants or low-cost housing.
I too have a dream.

Or, I know how absolutely unconventional and batshit crazy this idea is, one could use a wonderful little contraption known as a hairband.
I know, absurd, right?
