I'm pretty sure the original flat earth society was a joke, the equivalent of modern day trolls. It's shocking to see that it's actually being taken seriously. More importantly I think it shows how some people think. If you can just pile up mountains of shitty shitty shitty evidence people will say 'wow, look at all this evidence for a flat earth/9/11 truth/Obama is a Muslim' and not pay attention at all to the quality of the evidence.
My normal real life reply to any conspiracy kook (I actually met a flat earther in real life) is: what does it matter if the earth is flat, since we all died in 2012 and live in a simulated universe anyway"

You don't get it, everything is rigged, The Powers That Be have a vested interest in the "Round Earth" hoax. This is why Flatters are not rich. If they were they'd fly over the supposed "South Pole" and prove it isn't there. And neither is that big ass telescope they built down there for that matters.
