RE: Announcement
This sucks. Both my adoptive mom and my biological mother got breast cancer. My adoptive mom chose to have them removed. My biological mother chose chemo.  Nothing anyone wants to hear but it is an unfortunate part of our species. We all wish you well and hope whatever you do works and you can get through it.

Well this is certainly shitty news, you have my sympathies. You're awfully young for this to be happening.

I've got all kinds of medical questions but they're not appropriate at this time.

What kind of hospital/practice is your doctor/oncologist affiliated with?

Please keep us abreast of your progress and developments as you see fit. (too early for a pun?, if so - apologies)

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Well, that blows. Angry

While the odds certainly seem to be in your favor, I know you've got your work cut out for you; It's definitely gonna be a long year or so.
I'm glad you won't be going through it alone.

Hang tough, CM.

Wow. Sorry to see this. I hope you don't need chemo or radiation. Those treatments are pretty  painful. Hug

My sister just went through radiation therapy, and it wasn't bad for her at all. She started to get a bit of a sunburn toward the end of her treatment cycle and was tired at the end, too, but it really wasn't terrible.

Radiation is pretty much a given.
