Something we saw after a flood here (don't think it was 2011 this time) was (IIRC) a great big semi trailer with setup washing machines and dryers* for cleaning up flood damaged clothing. A family friend of mine also took in laundry (had numerous hampers in her garage for folks) and she'd do laundry at home, filling the hampers with cleaned and folded items. She loved being able to help, and didn't have to leave her home to do so.

*I think the company that makes Tide sponsored it. Salvation Army might have had a semi for that too. (it's been 10-15 years, trouble remembering the particulars)

Also, while I was helping pack up materials for the 2011 flood, I kept seeing 'younger' people running around filling and placing sand bags. They all had green T-shirts and I thought they were 4-H kids. Well, the 4-H kids were helping but they didn't have green T-shirts. Those folks were from TD Ameritrade, and boy were they organized!! They were filling sand bags at a central location, stacking them on pallets, and then the pallets were hauled to where they were needed. Very efficient.

I bet Texas is seeing similar organized task forces !!

Livin' in Tornado Alley I see it rollin' several times a year down I-44. Joplin, Mo, a few years ago.

Yeah, when I was a kid that was the path.  Right off the Cape Verde Islands off the West Coast of Africa and then the trade winds would carry them across. 

Now those rarely make it across because they get deflected by High Pressure systems that form over the continent.  The ones that get through are far to the south and start with the Antillies Islands and work their way up through the Bahamas.

But the first time I heard of one forming in the Gulf wasn't that long ago and I was surprised.  I didn't think the Gulf was big enough but it sure as hell has gotten warm enough.

Oh yeah... climate change is a chinese hoax according to the orange turd and his energy company scumbag buddies.
