If she's a stunner, why would she bother with him? She's either got a dude or knocked back 50 before him.
Maybe he looks like Herman the monster and nobody's told him and she's just being polite?

This is interesting.  Some years back, there was a woman in my workplace who had competed in a Miss Italy competition and had performed quite well in it.  Now, for some reason, she had a crush on me, despite the fact that I'm not a physically appealing man: logically speaking, if we were to pair her off with a gentleman based on looks, you'd expect her to be interested in a very handsome man; however, IMO and based on my observations, such thinking is shortsighted.   Thus, IMO, it makes sense that there are many variables to account for when considering the phenomenon of romantic attraction.

1) No offence intended but I find it funny how you type like a cyborg who discovered humans last week.  I just mean you type very consistantly in an unemotional way, and in an observational way towards humans.

2) I question your not being physically appealing, I just read in another thread you were describing a work out regime and it sounds fairly impressive to me.  Also what's appealing is subjective.  Generally speaking though some sort of physical fitness is appealing.

3)  The bit I agree with is there are many variables to account for in romantic attraction.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

I appreciate your directness and candor, sir.

Your point about "physically appealing" being subjective is well-taken.  To clarify, my personal/subjective usage of "physically appealing" in my previous post was in reference to the male equivalent to her appearance: she got hit on all the time and flirted with, whereas my personal experience with such encounters is quite limited.

Well you are a male so there's behavioral/cultural differences, generally speaking, in what a male's experience is in comparison to a female I think.

You don't have to be that much of a good looking girl to be hit on as you walk past some builders but you probably have to be either having a lucky day or be in David Beckham territory in terms of looks to be a man who gets wolf whistles as he's walking down the street from women.

To clarify though I'm not trying to be argumentative, I do believe you that you might not be as physically appealing as this woman, I just find the topic of sexual attraction and the differences between men and women interesting and worth talking about.

Unfortunately, those are not the ones I want for more than 24 hours.

Being young and in college is a special case-- dollars definitely not required so long as you can do or say anything interesting.

Maybe he should woo her with something uniquely personal.

More action than me too.

Although maybe I should start by actually leaving the house Tongue

FTFY.

I never understand why I have to take hints. I can never spot them at all.

The taking hints part is why I find women to be 100% complicated and confusing Tongue
