It does seem, at some point, local government needs to do their job. The federal government can't have a plan mapped out on how to distribute food/water directly to the hands of the citizens in every city in the country in every scenario.
My guess is the mayor just is over her head and unprepared for the situation. It's scary how important local elections are in some places given how arbitrary local elections seem like they can be.

Only Trump could take a humanitarian crisis to the tune of 3.4 million people, and make it about himself.
PR: We have no food, no water, no power. We are dying.
Trump: PR Mayor sooo mean! Poor me!!!

Exactly. For all the current complaints about the lack of preparation in PR, it cannot be said that Houston prepared any better. I mean, it's known hurricane country, and still there's no zoning, which is the first layer of preparation for any urban disaster -- stuff like keeping residential areas and water supplies away from chemical plants and low areas, etc.

The Pentagon just called the WLB a liar. They must be Dems and ingrates, too.

Quote:BUSTED: Leaked Bossert memo reveals White House strategy to duck blame for Maria mess
Quote:A memo leaked on Sunday and published by Axios.com reveals that President Donald Trump’s administration is aggressively trying to shift the blame for its dismal response to Hurricane Maria and to carry out “planned hits” against the president’s critics.
Trump’s top Homeland Security advisor Tom Bossert authored the memo, which detailed the administration’s plans to “start a theme of recovery planning for the bright future that lies ahead for Puerto Rico. Planned hits, tweets, tv bookings and other work will limit the need for reactionary efforts.”
Meanwhile, fuckface is attending a golf tournament.

Has anyone seen the footage from the visit. For the love of all that is human, will someone please replace this creature with an actual person?
