SURVIVOR 35: HHH

RE: SURVIVOR 35: HHH
I'm catching up. Watching TV and tweeting is no good for me. Ep 1 right now.

ETA: Alan, you're already kind of scaring me, bruh.

I'm only caught up through E3.

So the guy that got sent home in E3 (Patrick), "didn't see it coming" (paraphrasing)? Are you *serious*? You single handedly lost the challenger for your tribe. Too tired to be effective, and you ignored your tribemates' pleas to substitute in - not to mention that his social game was shit and he knew it. Let's not even mention that he annoyed just about everyone on his tribe with his antics.

Seriously, if it had been anyone else, I would have been surprised.

Watching now.

Commercial.

Ooo yeah, it's a swap episode! Happens right off the bat - no wasting time!

I guess it's time to find out who these healer people are. Haven't heard much from them. Roark? Last remaining healer on the yellow tribe and we've never seen her before.

HA!
"What was your name again?"

The healer that said she's on a team with three strong guys, the hero girl who is good at swimming might have doomed her team. Wait and see... (I had PB&J for lunch) AAAAAND big mouth tribe totally sucked.

Interesting, you can block a person's vote at tribal council. The use of idols has been interesting so far this year. They have to be used at the next tribal, and they're being given away, kind of. AWWW, but now this dude is going around blabbing it to everyone? The idol chick is gonna be mad when she finds out - or should be.

Nerd Boy (Ryan) did the smart thing and used him giving Momma the Save-You idol at the first tribal to build a relationship with her. Good boy.

I don't like Tony-Wannabe. He's trying to play the wild and crazy game where he goes out and is purposefully deceitful and I don't like that style of play.

And here comes the crash landing of budding romance on Survivor... She should dump Cole, or at least seriously parse the information she shares with him from now on. Bad, stupid move, Cole.

(I ate some BBQ chips that are really burning my mouth now.) Sad

Alright, so now this advantage which everyone now knows about must be played for another tribe who is going to tribal. So what was the point of currying favor by telling everyone about it? Methinks Cole just can't keep his mouth shut.

Oh, good, Tiny Tony (Joe) is being outed as a liar. I hope he gets targeted and goes home. Except that he has an idol and this other vote suppression idol is in play.... strange dynamics going on! Now Joe is is wanting to openly talk about who is getting voted out. Bad idea. "I wanted to start chaos and now I'm like, crap!" No shit sherlock!

And Alan thinks they're writing HIS name down even though Joe is saying he wants to vote Ashley! Bonkers!

Devon gets the secret advantage and doesn't know that his is a vote suppression advantage - yewozah!

I like Alan in this tribal, he's got some good descriptions going and is making coherent, cogent points, lol

LOL "That is not an advantage."

HOLY SHIT! Healer girl should vote for Joe! FUCK! This is going to mess stuff up. GAA!!!! And he's playing the idol on.... himself! ASSHOLE!!

NO WAY!! Alan is gone.... damn, that was intense. I kind of was starting to like him. I HATE Joe though. The only good thing he did was not totally screw over his healer girlfriend.

Finally got caught up today.  I never like the over the top guys who deliberately want to screw things up.  Will be happy to see TinyTony/Joe go.

The older healer, urologist guy was great with the puzzle .. though possibly he was a bit curt.  But seriously, lady puzzle solver, if the guy is making that rapid of progress - just support it.  (Not that she caused any fuss over it that I can recall.)

I like Urologist Guy.

I don't like Joe. Tiny Tony is really a great name for him because he's trying to play the disruptive sort of game that Tony or Russel played and I don't like that style of game either.

I wasn't sad to see him go. He seemed like an arrogant sore loser to me when he was voted off. IIRC, he made a rude comment to the rest of the tribe as he left. Buh-bye.

Only saw about two seconds of the show last night because I went to bed; I'll watch either over lunch (if it's not nice out, if it is I'm going for a walk) or tonight when I get home.

Haven't even listened to the podcasts since episode 1 Sad But that's at least partially because apple's iOS upgrade fucked with how the podcast app looks and it's now really difficult to use.

RE: SURVIVOR 35: HHH
Watched last night.

I am increasingly not liking Chrissy. She comes off as really arrogant and full of herself saying stuff like how she's going to outsmart Roark, and is now probably patting herself on the back because Ryan made, IMO, a questionable move. She doesn't seem to understand that just because you occasionally get a break that doesn't mean you're prophetic. The one silver lining in her staying is that she still has that invalid idol in her pocket and I'm thinking (hoping) there will be some fireworks when she starts playing it off like it's real. But I hope that that point that Ryan will have gone sour on her and her attempt to play it will backfire right in her face. Devil

I'm disappointed Roark went home. She looked like a player with a lot of potential. She seemed to have a pretty cool head on her shoulders and was slow playing things, but perhaps that was her downfall. Did we really see her talking to Ryan much? Or did she mostly talk with the other girl? I can't remember now. This was the second tribal in a row where the person I thought was putting on a good showing at Tribal went home. Maybe I'm losing my grip. Tongue

Ryan made a weird move, IMO. Yes, he gave Chrissy that idol and was able to form a relationship with her based on it, but there is truth to the fact that true alliances are built in the crucible of Tribal Council and he just majorly burned perhaps his single closest alliance in What's-Her-Face his fellow... Hustler? Wasn't red the color of the hustler's tribe? He went behind her back and aligned with someone she didn't want to work with, apparently, so now there are going to be hurt feelings and two alliance members pulling on him and his attentions. It might not have been a great move to get rid of Chrissy because he put effort into that relationship, but he at least wouldn't have one burned alliance member and one happy one still in the game, know what I mean? If Chrissy had gone, What's-Her-Name would be the only one he'd have to worry about, Chrissy wouldn't still be in the game and holding a grudge against Ryan the way What's-Her-Face is still in the game and now has an ax to grind.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on the vote.

Looks like something happens to Cole next week - passes out in the middle of camp? Hope he doesn't need to be medivac'd, those are always really unfortunate situations. I much prefer when players are voted out, not carried out.
