Here's my bit of truth: I'm rabid for vampires, but only if they're Eric Northman from True Blood and the sexy sexy Kate Beckinsale from Underworld.

My roommate tried to read some of Twilight out loud to me. I had to stop her.

Mostly though, I'm appalled that Edward is now the romantic standard for young (and not so young!) women. Mr Darcy...where have you gone? Bogart...did we forget you so quickly? But I suppose that's a topic for another thread and day.

I know how you feel. Kate Beckinsale should just march right in and beat the shit out of all of them. She'd show them what a real vampire is....Underworld rules.

Thanks Spectrum, interesting read!

I don't think that belief that someone has started the creation that we are a part of is same as belief in fairies.

With revealed religion there are parts of scriptures that are terible. The only way those parts were true would be if God is himself very rough. So if you were to go by that you can easily tha they soundlike fairy tales or rather horor tales.
The thing is reality can be horific at times.

On the other hand an argument for a deistic God can be made I believe.
