Actually APATHEISTS these days are the majority.
They are not real atheists because a real atheist keep a firm belief in his-her mind that God does not exist.

Apatheists on the other hand wouldn't care less whether God exist or not although they may think that God does not exist.

When I go in the shopping center I can feel that most of the people main attraction is pure materialism.
In their mind there is no place for any mystic God.
Their God are the material things.
My guess is that these days 90% of people are Apatheists.

Look, I know you;ve heard this before, so I don't really expect it to penetrate, but I'll try.  Atheist just means to lack belief in God. No to hold any firm positive belief, though some also do that.


You are describing strong and weak atheism, but it's all still atheism.  Lack in God for any reason at all?  That's not apathy, that is atheism.

Now there are whole other spectrums of belief and behavior that theists often conflate.  The spiritual, the supernatural, religiosity, etc.  People can believe in supernatural, be non materialistic, and still be an atheist.

Practically almost none follow the definition of the terms that is why I rely on what people say rather than what in realty they suppose to stick to that is the reason why I judge people for what they say.

This apply to everybody not just to the so called atheists.
Take religions.
In reality people who follow religions suppose to follow what the various religions say but in reality almost nobody follow their directions.

So your statement is based on talking to all atheists? How many outside this forums do you know, Rik? Any from Chine, India, or Africa? What percentage are you basing your sample on?

Also, just bullshit. We’ve had polls here. Many more got say that the Abrahamic god, as defined in the Bible and by modern Christians, or similarly Sllah, do not exist. But when polled here most will say they do not know for sure on other, less well defined possible God’s.

That’s why the first response to the question of do you believe in god her is often, define god. Some are for sure bullshit, but some are unprovable and therefore cannot be disproved either, and the majority here admit that.

If you mean your specific personal notion of god? Yeah, maybe most do. But you don’t have a monopoly on defining god, though you seem to think otherwise.

Actually is not a question to have a monopoly Aro.
It is rather a question to reach Rome.
You know that old saying........all roads lead to Rome................to say that all paths or activities lead to the center of things.
To God in this case.
Atheists also try to go to Rome.
Atheists take much longer to get to Rome but at the end they too will get there.

They rely on intellect only so this preclude them from getting there fast but fast or slow they will get there anyway.
As soon as they will find futile to insist on the intellect they finally will change their attitude in favor for the real thing and God will be finally found.
Rome will be the same for everybody.
Nobody has the monopoly to God.
