I would say yes
I really don't know. Maybe a bit awkward? I don't even know. You've got lots of threads started today (?). One of them, over in A69, very straightforward. But whatever cocoon you have, if you do have one, you are trying to break out of, and I commend it.

Hard to tell over the internet. But most people who are really active on forums are, so if I had to guess I would say yes.

What confuses me is . . . the way terms like "Introversion" and "Extroversion" are normally understood and defined... I'm definitely an introvert. But then on the other hand in psychology introversion means you get your energy from being alone. You need to be alone to 'recharge' and being around people exhausts you... and extroversion is when you feel exhausted when alone and being around people recharges you...
In that case I have no idea which I am because I have no idea if talking to people online counts as 'being around people'... and if my chit chatting online to energize means I'm an extrovert or if the fact I don't do it in real life means I'm an introvert. I don't get out much. I'm not outgoing. And that's what being an extrovert usually means in a non-technical, normal sense. But if I had the opportunity to have lots of friends in RL who I actually liked... would I get out a lot more and be around people to recharge? That's the question I guess. When I play poker at a pub... I'm usually one of the biggest talkers there now. I didn't use to be. But I've found it a lot easier to talk to people in real life ever since I stopped being on strong mood stabilizers like Lithium and semi-sodium valporate. And then the last question is I guess.... can people change? On the bigger scale I mean. Personality-trait-wise. I.e. maybe I'm an introvert now but it's possible for me to become an extrovert? I have no fucking idea LOL. But I trust Losty's opinion on this because I think she knows me quite well. |
