If that was your way of saying I over reacted, I don't care. HE HE Big Grin

The point is I cared. Is that lost on everyone here?

My Mom never had to worry about me being killed in combat, but if I missed a call she expected, I knew there would be a tongue lashing coming at me.

Dude, I fucking freak out when my cat gets the sniffles. I am not kidding. I once thought he had swallowed piece of plastic, the type you peal off a milk jug to open it. $300 bucks later at the vet after an X ray....... You understand me yet? No he did not swallow it.

And no, the owners of the Chinese joint were not dead behind the counter or kidnapped robbed the night before. But my cat cant tell me he didn't swallow the plastic. The management of the Chinese food joint do have the capability of putting the correct hours on their door.

I am a softy, nerd, spaz despite my bluster here.

The wives would say the graphic is accurate with regard to me.

As for the shopkeepers, better safe than sorry. I agree with your choices.

Thank you. It really was in the back of my mind before I called that I was all in my head. But the time on the sign said it should have been open. And even out here in the sticks crimes happen. I was happy to find out it was all in my head, and that was my point.

I wasn't sure. I really had thought in the past that I had been there on a Sunday before 4pm. But I never paid attention.

Ironically this has to do even with religion in selection bias and sample rate error. I was so used to my routine going there I never realized that I had never gone there that early on a Sunday, but again, it didn't help that they had 12pm on their door hours for Sunday, when instead they should have had 4pm.

Cops do "safety and welfare" checks all the time. It's not an imposition, it's just part of their job. Better to know there's no problem than to hope there's no problem.
