Quote:Are religious people more moral?

Quote:Studies conducted among American Christians, for example, have found that participants donated more money to charity and even watched less porn on Sundays. However, they compensated on both accounts during the rest of the week. As a result, there were no differences between religious and nonreligious participants on average.

Yep.  Bullshit Artists For Jeebus!

RE: Interesting Study
It's the "confession room" or "Repentance" idea that so many religious people believe in.
The Quran says something interesting about that:

Quote:Sura 4, The Quran:
( 17 )   The repentance accepted by Allah is only for those who do wrong in ignorance and then repent soon after. It is those to whom Allah will turn in forgiveness, and Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
( 18 )   But repentance is not [accepted] of those who [continue to] do evil deeds up until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "Indeed, I have repented now," or of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful punishment.

The concept for many, that God is like an ATM: sin as much as you like;  then pay a few pennies, repent, confess, and a whole week of sinning will be forgiven.
Sin as much as you like, kill, plunder, and then say a couple of prayers, and that would be it ! the ATM will throw you some cash, take; repeat.

Many don't treat God like an intelligent entity if you ask me. And the "confession room" concept is just a big part in that mentality.
So the study makes a lot of sense TBH.
