Before I show you what he said, I can see straight away that his overuse of long words and phrases can be destroyed by Occams Razor... That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence,, he is basically trying to switch this around to him... That will not happen. I think it's quite evident we do not need to disprove/refute anything with no evidence baking it up.. I thought that was common knowledge. haThank you and here it is: (Obviously the paragraph that starts with (>) is a quote from what I said.

It is a long read so If you guys don't want to read it all, that is fine, you can breeze through it and give some pointers or link me someplace that would love to get their hands on this and debate it. Thanks )

Yea it seems more of an attack than a conversation but a conversation nontheless. This is personal to as this conversation is actually happening with my official online profile, you know. Well partially to address it, I just don't know where to begin and I would feel less intimidated if one wants just to even write a sentence or two against the points he made. His points may seem good.. some, but overall to me they seem to be very manipulative of trying to push the burden of proof on to me.. which takes away about half of his points. I'm just confused on both his points made and where to begin. Is that understandable at all?

At a quick glance he's trying to "win the argument" rather than actually make any valid points. Which is pretty standard.

I knew I shouldn't have posted looking for assistance on this forum site. I knew chad would come along and say something demeaning and derogatory and I'd bet this GC fellow will be along any minute. No disrespect to RobValue as he seems to know his stuff. I have to say and they will want me to say this, but I think It has to be said, I feel right now unpleasantly satisfied (that sort of feeling one gets after being bullied somewhat) it may be because of a feeling of defeat, of which I don't think so, or it may be the sly digs at me from the other side when I am asking for help or it may be I don't know where to begin (I feel like I can argue for my position just confused) or it can be a combination of all. I feel like I just want to give up and don't answer at all but I never back down. Ah shit I just don't know.

Thanks, that would be a great help. Yea I wouldn't mind being at a intellectual stalemate than winning though winning is fun, when it happens and so is having an intellectual conversation with both valid points. I have to finish my work and i will probably be back on in a few hours Smile

I mean, l can argue from two points of view. I can examine the logic of the guy's statements, or I can evaluate how much I would care about what he's saying. I tend to cut through the crap by saying, "Why should I care about any of this?" I have yet to receive a response that motivates me. Theists can't seem to tell me why I should care.

If I can wake my brain up, I'll see if I can go through and add commentary today or soon.

Or... I could do a video response? Would you prefer that or text?

Both points of view seems like it would be necessary on parts of what he said. I mean there are parts where I would logically put Hitchens/Occams Razor into effect and apply it to the logic of his statements and then say something like "there is no need to go any further or care if no evidence is supported." But as this is a long reply and wish not to take up your time, if at parts you seem you would like to apply "Why should I care about any of this?" and would make an appropriate skip over.. I have no problem with that and it may seem necessary Smile

A video response would be interesting but nah I 'd say stick to text format as that would be easier to cite any web pages to reinforce our argument, if necessary.
Is there a time limit put in place for the editing of my post, as I would like to make it more appealing and less messy by adding italics to his citations of my quotations? It is not necessary but would like to clean it up a bit and go back and fort whilst I am working.

But listen take all the time you need as you are helping me and and taking up a bit of your time and i feel like I should repay you in some way... the best I can do is be polite. ha
