I don't see how that can fulfill any sort of emotional human need when you know it's not real, but that's just me I guess.
Sounds like a lot of marriages. . . like, maybe most of them.  I think it would be cheaper, though.

Really?

Something like this, if I understand?

Prostitution is judged because it's a nasty business. It's not about sex only; it's about being a "mercenary", a temporary slave for other humans.
People who do anything for money might not be prostitutes; but they are nasty. And might agree to do nasty stuff.

Like Japanese porn, and military black ops.

RE: Sweet and Ethical Prostitutes
I have always thought it would be a good idea to legalize prostitution and regulate it. Clearly, prostitution still happens despite the fact that it's banned. It's not very safe, many prostitutes get caught up in drugs, get abused, and obviously STD's are a thing. In fact, a lot of children get caught up in it as well. It's a very dangerous profession, because instead of regulating it, it is simply illegal.
I see no reason for this act to be illegal, so long as the sex worker is consenting on their own.
So, to answer your question, I completely agree. Not only do I think prostitution regulations are possible, I think we'd be better off.
For starters, get the kids out of the business. It breaks my heart how common it is for young girls to get caught up in this.
Then, have some kind of legal institution ready to take action if the prostitutes are abused.
And finally, require some safety measures against the spread of STI's.
I do think that if we legalize and regulate prostitution, thousands of women(and men) would be safer.

I think making it legal would make it better regulated, certainly. Just as drugs are more dangerous because they get nasty shit thrown in them to hide them. Although with the case of drugs I think the worst of the worst should definitely be illegal. I think I may be pro-legalization of all drugs except heroin.

There used to be a guy here from Germany IIRC who posted articles about legal prostitution, and it was horrible.

Isn't prostitution legal in France? How is that going? Is that going well?

Or at least the articles he posted made it seem so.
