Depressing christian forum posts
It's painful to read posts on christian forums when they write things like they are some kind of slaves - "I will suffer a little bit more. I'm a sinner. Soon there will be rapture, second coming, judgment after I die. Just a little bit more and my perfect goal will be achieved".

No wonder believers like to lash out on atheists with their hell threats, as some sort of stress relief, having a big stick up their assess all the time.

Example:

"
I would say this...

If in a specific or general career path you can:

1. Honor God
2. Serve God
3. Witness to God
4. Have time for God

The path is okay with God.

He probably isn't going to use His celestial hand to push you into someones HR office. He will, however, use you where you go.
"

"
You cannot just deny self under your own power. The main way to deny self is the allow the indwelling Holy Spirit to lead you.

RE: Depressing christian forum posts
Well yeah Christianity, as with almost all religions, is basically very manic depressing - everything is nonsensical, everything is worthless and boring except god and that other world. Plus some Christianities, like Catholicism, for some reason requires you to sacrifice yourself for what you're doing, like let's say nuns that work in hospitals: they can't just go into hospital, like nurses, and take care of the sick but they also must disavow everything they have and must never have sex or as it is with anything else Catholics are doing.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

They understand a truth that is far beyond your grasp, a truth that changes the heart for the better. you've purposely left yourself out and I find this sad.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

See, here is what you don't know about G-C.  When his fucking 'god' admits that he causes evil in Isaiah, G-C says that "we" don't understand.

Quote:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

Is. 45    KJV

He believes in a god who cannot communicate!

His a victim, he lost so much, that slavery to God's will has a value to him. If anything, it's depressing to see how fucked up world is.
