Dogs are balls of pent up rage, waiting for a chance to rip out your throat.

At least my neighbours dog was.

After years of keeping me in the house by growling every time I went in the garden it finally managed to get out and went on what can only be described as a "rampage" biting three people before they killed it.

Sadly my wife is cat-intolerant, anticat-lady.  She thinks they would sharpen their claws on her weavings.  Too bad too because with a creek full of rats nearby we could use a good ratter.  Probably what I really need is a pack of terriers.

Next door had an "outside cat" that wasn't allowed in the house. Perhaps you could try that.

I've had a number of cats over the years and loved each of them. But I really could have done without the trophies/tribute gifts on my doorsteps.
