I used to use FF but some websites it struggled with and Chrome has NEVER been a problem for me. It's been 100% consistent ever since I switched to it years back. So I see no reason to change.

Is Firefox quantum really better than Google Chrome?

I've always used Firefox on my home PC, I switched back and forth a bit between the two but FF seems to run faster and smoother for whatever reason.

My older version auto-updated to Quantum this morning and I immediately ditched it for the old Firefox. My first impressions were positive but my flash blocker plug-in isn't compatible with it. I won't use any browser that lacks the ability to block videos from auto-playing. I don't understand why all browsers don't have that capability built in. Maybe they're afraid of being sued by the advertisers.

I used to use FF back in the day, but it became increasingly slow and crash prone as time went on. I'd love to leave the Google data miner and go back. I'm simply delighted that my Adblock works well. Now I need to find an anti-adblock software for FF that works as good as the one I have on Chrome. Perhaps that will be today's project. The new FF has not crashed at all since I installed it. That didn't take long. Greasemonkey has been updated for FF 57.
I installed it at work on windows and at home on linux. It's lightening fast and I like the new "square" design and new menus and buttons. Love it!

I found it in update manager, it wasn't there a few days ago.
It hurts us, it hurts our eyes'ess. It's a bit flat and grey for my liking and 'Australis Tabs on Bottom' took a hit so I'll have to jump through hoops to put the ugly square bastards back where they belong. It's definitely a bit faster but then it would be with most of the extensions buggered. No doubt there's an army of developers working on it. I'll play around with it for awhile but I'm pretty sure I'll roll back to 55. Regarding tabs, why the hell don't Mozilla give us the option to do just that, indeed why aren't they on the bottom by default? I don't do polls but how many of y'all use a browser with tabs on top? Answers on a postcard please.

I found a new flash blocker that works with Quantum so I'm using it now. It works MUCH better than the old Firefox.

I've been using Firefox since before it was Firefox and they've finally done something to send me looking for alternatives.
Pocket. Fuck. That. Shit! Sorry Firefox, but I don't want clickbait on every single new tab I open. Yes, I know how to get rid of it. The fact that I had to is enough.
