Welcome.
Question, based on your handle: How do you feel about Jay Jay Abrams destroying Vulcan in his new series of films?

Whatever happens in the alternate timeline STAYS in the alternate timeline.
I suppose one could view it as a metaphor for Abrams' take on Star Trek. It has always been a fairly cerebral show. Destroying Vulcan may symbolize the destruction of the cerebral side of things in favor of action sequences and explosions.
Good answer.
I've seen two of Abram's "Trek" disasters.
Both were bad, as far as I'm concerned (I haven't seen Into Darkness).

Welcome Vulcan, show me your ears. I've read the complete works of Paul Tillich. And I'm a massive liar.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.
