I don't understand the above part.
Are you saying that you are an atheist, and live as a SDA?

It was initially a political move by the Roman emperor, who became the Bishop of Rome, to get the votes of both the Pagan and Christian majorities.

You know, emperors rarely worry about "votes."

You know something which a lot of people don't. As for being wrong about the end of the world, they'd only have to be right once wouldn't they? 

So in 3-4 billion years when the sun finally expands to engulf the earth they can run around saying "We were right" in the split second before they burn to a crisp.  Not a very impressive achievement.

I am familiar with all of their doctrines, and I would like to say that they are unique to the rest of Christendom, despite the amalgamation of many of their sectors into common religions.
By coming to an atheist forum, you would think that I want to be eaten by lions, but I am able to answer any queries about SDA's, and why their standing puts them into opposition with the rest of the world's religions.

Besides that, I am interested in talking with Atheists, because I am an Atheist by nature, and I feel that in many cases they are not given the credit for their logic, by the professed believers in God.
However, I am also ready to challenge some of Atheist thinking, because I have had to face similar questions in order to accept some of the answers.

Am I here to advertise the religion? It is invariably part of me, so yes I would be, but not intentionally.

I am not going to share anything, unless you ask a direct question, and I'll give a short answer, but I am more interested in your experiences and views.

I'm not familiar with your religion so I'm curious, what's the difference between Seventh Day Adventists and other Christian sects, aside from the day of the week that you choose to meet?

Also, why does it matter what day you meet on in the first place?

they are the one true sect, the other 28,000 are wrong, obviously.....

The kind of questions and arguments put forward by Atheists are familiar to me, I've thought about the same challenges over and over again, and I am not in the habit of making a hasty decision on the subject of Divinity...

Isn't Sunday the special day for Christians?

In Portuguese, the week days are named in your way...
Start with Sunday, Domingo... From Latin Dominus, day of the Lord.
Monday is Segunda feira, or second fair.
Tuesday is Terça feira, os third fair.
Wednesday is Quarta feira, or fourth fair.
Thursday is Quinta feira, ou fifth fair.
Friday is Sexta feira, oh sixth fair.
Saturday is Sábado, which would clearly be the seventh fair, but is a rest day.

That's about right, the 7th day is called "Sabado" or Shabbat, Sabbath etc in many different languages. Sunday, or the venerable day of the Sun god was adopted by the world church, or Catholic church, and has remained in place ever since. The Christian world kept the 7th day, until Sunday became compulsory by the end of the fourth century.

So... what else is there to those SDAs, besides celebrating stuff on Saturday instead of Sunday?
