It’s just like the owners of yachts and private jets and gold plated toilet bowls say, the owners of yachts and private jets and gold plated toilet bowls are victims like everyone else.

Ah, no.

James was "paying" as He was building. Does not believe in borrowing money to build a church. The church was not always able to keep up with contractor draws/demands  for money on each and every build project.

He did not discipline the elders. James has 60+ elders in his church. 3 of them were causing problems. the other 57 elders plus james publically demanded repentance from those 3. Jame later appologized for make a private matter public when push comes to shove.

I never heard of James stealing anything. He has been accused of "gambling" away church money and as much admitted on do this when he seeds or is starting a new campus or church. And He has admitted in doing so in faith meaning telling the elders they would not begin construction till they have the total build costs in the bank. which in several cases he did not, which goes back to your accusation he was trying to skip out of paying contractors.

What James agreed to is to allow the church board simply run the adminstrative part of the church and he would remain senior pastor which allows him to do what he does best.

Being Christian does not mean one is not above sin or accusation of sin or even making mistakes. it is about how one reconciles from those sins or mistakes. At best James can be accused of being a not so good business man.

Are you his defense counsel, or something?  "I'm bad at business" is not a competent defense for embezzling and fraud.   Just a hot tip.

You know what I find ironic? Megachurch preachers almost invariably become a liability for the megachurches they help create. Isn't that a pickle? The same guys who create these massive fundamental fellowships are always out back blowing the gaffer, or shoveling money into their mistresses accounts. What charismatic movements seem to need is a whole lot less of the charismatics.

What I see is what I shared with you written with a clear bias. When ever the author is given an oppertuity to give james or the church the bennifit of the doubt he never identifies this oppertunity, but make his own judgement call. He makes alot of judgement call none of which ever cut in favor of the church.

So one the church is/must be the work of satan (which I can atest it is not) or the author is biased.

I provided a non biased look at this controversy and it shares the same info with out the scathing review and or hate.

Again being a christian is not about being without controversy. that is a pop culture standard not a God standard. I mean look at me and how I am hated. and everything I took spun to make me evil as possible. now why would those who inspired me be any different/be hated less or fewer attempts be made to discredit them?

"Bitches be lyin!"

It doesn't matter whether they get caught with their hands in the safe or down a guys pants..that's always the excuse..isn't it?  The marks parrot that nonsense just as readily as they parrot their religious nonsense.

People -have- been taking a look at you, Drich..perhaps it's time you took a look at yourself? No one had to do anything to discredit you here, you discredited yourself. You do this with regularity. In this case, you presented a known con and crimer who got drummed out by his own people for being a con and a crimer..... as an example of a non scammy televangelist. What else was going to happen, and didn't you think to do your own due diligence?

Can you post a link to where James was convicted of embezzlement and fraud? or in you little mind is an accusation the same as guilt?

I HATE Al franken, but what I hate more is him being forced to leave on accusations. What happened to a man is innocent in this country till proven guilt in a court of law by a jury of his peers?

What gives any of us the right to read a clearly biased opposition article and make a derision that has any merit or weight?

This is asinine.

I was privy to some of the internals through out satilie church and none of it is even discussed in these hate articles. most of which are sponsed by anti church groups or denominationaly specific news organizations looking to cast doubt. Everything was made transparent repentance was offered when and where necessary and we move on. that is EXACTLY how it is supposed to work morons. we are not called to live with out sin? or do you retards still not understand this?

RE: Televangelists
Now we're straight to blaming The Nefarious Other™..are we?  His own church correctly realized that booting him quietly would be better for their brand - so they did.

What on earth is the problem here?  You can't accept the reality of this man...but if there were some other non-scammy televangelist (and cmon..there has to be, right?) you could just say "Yeah, nvm, fuck that guy" and flit off to friendlier climes.

Instead, you're defending this asshole as a palpable extension of yourself, and of your god.  All that does is reinforce the notion that the whole thing..not just the guy in question, is a giant con.  You're doing exactly what the victim of a con does..and what cons rely on to evade consequences. The people running the show now are no less grifty, mind you..but at least they honor decorum.
