Why keep a vice president around, who was appointed by someone worthy of impeachment?

RE: Why keep a vice president around, who was appointed by someone worthy of impeachment?
Pence is not a reason to not impeach Trump. If we look at impeachment that way it loses all credibility and purpose. The point of impeachment is to try the President for high crimes and misdemeanors, with the possible outcome of removal from office. Impeachment should NEVER be used or avoided for political reasons.

If Mueller concludes that Trump colluded but Pence didn't, as a country we must uphold the constitution, impeach Trump, and accept President Pence. With any luck Congress won't be under Republican control at that point and it will limit his power anyway.

-already unlikely.  Pence has already made statements (and has been revising statements with every new release of information - same as the rest) that don't square with testimony and with the recent guilty pleas.  He's already implicated himself in any potential obstruction schemes even if he didn't commit the initial offenses.

I think that Pence is going to skate, regardless...however..simply for the fact that massacring an entire administration doesn't look good no matter what they've done.  It's a political impossibility and a practical mistake.

A muzzled GOP/Pence is the more likely outcome of any impeachment...-if- there's an impeachment. That's what we've been reduced to, lol. #MAGA

If I am not mistaken, he has a democratic mandate from the American people which is independent from Trump. Unlike a department secretary, he wasn't appointed by Trump but voted into office by the American people, standing on his own, nor does he in principle answer to him. So.it seems clear to me why he wouldn't be removed *by default* when the president is impeached and found guilty.

Pence was duly elected by constitutional procedure.

Changing rules afterwards is third world shit hole governance tactic and I'd raise quite a stink about it.

Shame.

Jesus fucking Christ people, go read Amie Parnes and Jonathan Allen's book HRC, outlines in GREAT detail how Obama wiped the floor with Hillary in their democrat party primary, and then go read Shattered for a little endless list of SELF inflicted/unforced errors Hillary made over and over during her campaign, and gallingly, usually after being advise NOT to. Why'd Bernie stick around in the primary so long; hell his poll numbers were rising! Hillary out spent $2 for every dollar Trumply spent, and even with a rigged primary and freely disenfranchising Democrat primary voters (!!!) Hillary Clinton still managed to lose the GODDAMN election.

Jesus Fucking Christ, I swear people need a fucking toe slammed in a door just to see if they are still capable of absorbing and processing new information sometimes cuz frankly it seems cold hard truth is just to fucking goddam difficult.

Why? Why not the other major candidate of the rival party? Pence could be worse than Trump, mainly because he won't feel the need to go on a tweet storm, or have propaganda documents delivered to him every day to make himself feel better. But why keep him around at all? Why wouldn't he be promptly impeached as well?

Pence if he got in because of impeachment/retirement would most likely end up like Gerald Ford, a man so tainted by association with his predecessor and with no true base of his own that he ended up being an empty suit and lost heavily the next election.

That was actually the original system. It did not work, at all.

PS may I also point out that Pence as governor was as useless as a paper umbrella in a hurricane. In a state where the republitraitors have no opposition.
