I think Nitsuj needs to clarify in terms of what he needs advice with.

Do you mean about telling your family? Or whether you should change something about your life?

As others have said, just be yourself. Oh, and don't start to affect the annoying as fuck lispy type talk that so many gays love to do. Its very annoying. I used to tell a gay friend of mine "Ok, we know you are gay, so you can stop talking like that. Oh, and get you hand off my leg you faggot... and its your turn to go to the bar."

By the way, how old are you, and in what country do you live? Need to consider what attitudes to gays exist and whether you are old enough to "tear out some guys sphincter".

Yes, like Loki said, I think before we can answer "what now," we would need to know about where you live and in what culture. And even then, we can only provide vague advice. Depending on what kind of family you have, you may want to keep this a secret or if they are fairly progressive, you may consider "coming out" to them, but probably only if the positives of doing so outweigh the negatives.

I would be interested to know the different experiences between people who knew from a fairly early age that they were gay versus people to whom this news "just occurred."

Well, as I've said before, I'm only 14 years old (Though, as many people would tell you, quite mature for my age), and I live in the U.S. (Missouri to be exact). My parents are divorced, and I live with my dad. That side of my family is quite religous, and I go to a Catholic school.
