I know the feeling, although my marriage didn't work out, dating my x and the time we were together was worth it.  Shy

Technically dopamine isn't the pleasure chemical, it's the pleasure-seeking chemical Wink

Dopamine is why people become addicted to things and keep going even when it's no fun anymore.

That's my point. Bravo.

'Pleasure found' is invariably a let down. La petite mort, so to speak.

RE: Pleasures
Well pleasure is temporary happiness that often eventually leads to misery but dopamine isn't even that! It's the mere drive for seeking temporary happiness that often leads to misery! Hehe.

Yes I know I'm a pedant! I dunno if that's my O.C.D., my autism, both or neither Wink (those are the 4 options Wink).

You're a cool guy, DLJ. And very smart. Another friend told me about you before Smile

Falling in love, the feeling of knowing I've found the person I want to spend my life with. Not to be cliche or anything.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

When I completed Devil May Cry 1 on Dante must die mode.

That was some effort, yo.

Man I've been a goody two shoes my whole life so my husband and I decided we would get weed and some shrooms (not at the same time lol) then after we got it I find out I'm pregnant and can't play. Needless to say he had fun with his friends while I got to behave. I swear when I'm done breastfeeding I am so going on a trip lol

So many, in no sure order:

When I was sure my wife would live after the surgery for her burst appendix.

Tripping with a house full of musicians at a beach house owned by a studio musician and being part of the music in the dark after a hike along the ocean from which I could hear the voices of so many animals.  Also, when we went out for that walk we passed the drawing I'd made of the young lady that also lived there and she'd pinned up when I arrived.  It showed her running across a night sky naked with her hair streaming behind her like a comet: as I looked at my drawing the figure was alive and running across that page.  I was amazed that the illusion didn't dissipate when I stopped to look closer.  Instead, from up close every line I'd drawn looked like a microscopic video of blood pulsing through small vessels.  Wow, my first time was a doozy.

Sex one time with my first wife while high on something.  After the most exquisite orgasm I bounced off her in slow motion which was perceptually very dragged out.  As I bounced back off the bed, still in slo mo, I felt my sexual arousal return and I entered her again after bouncing back from the bed after what seemed like a much longer amount of time than it was.

Being a momma...even after the boys became older, moodier and backtalkier.

Still moments with my Sweetheart; The world just melts away.
Loud, boisterous times with my family.

Good books. Good music.
Writing.
Cooking for others.

Also: Vacation, vacation, vacation. Long or short, home or away--though, New Orleans has been calling me as of late.
And I shall answer. Wink
