Texas judge interrupts jury, says God told him defendant is not guilty

RE: Texas judge interrupts jury, says God told him defendant is not guilty
Some denominations think think they get "special words" from god. I went to a church where people were like that for a long time. Crazy that a judge brought that insanity into the courtroom.
Going by the story, he may have other issues besides being really religious as he has been reprimanded for overstepping his authority in the past.

Call Mexicans rapists?
Call for entire bans on a religion?
Shit on the military service of war heros?
Shit on intel?
Shit on the press?

Nope, that gets you elected president.

This shows the atrocious and jaw-dropping mentality of American life. That judge should be removed and prosecuted for using his own ridiculous beliefs to interfere with the judicial process of a person's life. As an American, our freedoms only extend to as far as the religious right allows it and if you are a fellow American, you should be appalled and humiliated by this elected official's actions.

And don't kid yourself, if you think that this is isolated to a handful of lunatics, you're wrong. Even those who would dole out the reprimand to these sorts of fools are often secretly in support of their god's influence on all things governmental. Sure, they understand that such actions cannot be so blatant, and are forced to take (a mild) action against their own, but never doubt that this sort of biased religious horse shit is approved and condoned in this country ... "just keep it a little more subtle bro."

Separation of church and State my ass.

So apparently that judge, though unfit as a lawyer, is more than likely electable to the office of president.
