Oh yeah, I think I may have flown over there before.

When you find rightsville, will there be bells?  I'm not even sure there is a "perfect mate" let alone a perfect place.  But I'm quite happy with both.

Then I got married and decided to stay in one place, so my kids could enjoy stability. Divorce came around and now I really can’t go anywhere due to shared custody. There’s pros and cons. On one hand, my kids are growing up with the same people. On the other hand, my kids are growing up with the same people.

Do you think you might move when the kids are grown, and if so where?

I know I’ll move. Wherever I want and can find a job. It will be glorious.

I'm not looking for a perfect place. I like being a nomad.

Ah out to collect all the perfect places.  That's a trip worth taking.

If I stay and settle where I grew up I'll go absolutely mad. Ideally I will live in different parts of the world (or, at least, the US) across my lifetime.

Worst move ever was going across the hallway to a bigger apartment. If you're going to go to the bother of moving, go further than 10 feet.

My questions are.... Who stayed in the area they were born in? Who moved away, and if so why, when and where?
Are any of you serial movers?

Well, I have lived in Oregon my whole life. But Oregon is a rather large state, so moving from one county to another is significant. And I did that a few years ago when my dad cheated on my mom. My mom moved us out and now we are an hour away from where we were.
But now I am trying to move to Arizona to go to this one school. I don't know if I will move yet, because I don't know if they will accept me into their school yet. If they don't, I'll just spend another year at community college and get some more credits before going to another school.
Honestly, I will probably be a so-called "serial mover" though. You see, growing up I didn't have any money to go anywhere, but I've always wanted to travel. So now that I'm an adult I feel the urge to move around and see what it's like to live in different places.
In the end though, I'd like to end up in Alaska, simply because it's pretty and cold.

RE: Who moved or stayed?
Parents moved us from Greenville, SC when I was a year old, we moved to Knoxville, TN and I've been in the area ever since. Had chances to move to different states for different jobs but just couldn't see leaving God's country for a job. If I ever did move it would be to Hawaii, but that's one place I can't afford to live.

Same town, same house, same bedroom, although we did move the position of the bed sometime around the fourth grade.
