For all the empirical evidence of god's existence, meaning there is none, it's as though the guy only ever existed as a fictional concept created by man's overactive imagination. Wink

No it is not.

The insuperable statistics of precisely designated physical constants are quite obviously the product of an Intelligent Designer.

The absurd alternative, posited with supposedly straight faces by atheists, is the Multiverse.
This from people who decades ago claimed that the universe was too large for God to have made it just for mankind.
Now the universe is far too little, and everything made everything in infinite proportion just to skirt what is so blatantly obvious
that you refuse to acknowledge it.

Let's have a real conversation, shall we?

Quote:If someone made God, then He wouldn't be God, would He?

Regardless of the plausibility of the design argument, the statement that "If someone made God, then He wouldn't be God, would He?" demonstrates circular reasoning.

Allow me to demonstrate:

If someone created Vishnu he wouldn't be god, would he?

If someone created Allah, he wouldn't be god, would he?

How much do those questions move you to converting to Hinduism or Islam? You have to be logical... otherwise you say nothing.

And your atheist pretense of everything from nothing is "logical"?

Indeed, taking all the evidence together, it is not too much to say that there is no historic incident better or more variously supported than the resurrection of Christ. - Brooke Foss Westcott (1825 - 1901) regius professor at Cambridge - The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict, by Josh McDowell, page 218

… I know of no one fact in the history of mankind which is proved by better and fuller evidence of every sort, to the understanding of a fair inquirer, than the great sign which God hath given us that Christ died and rose again from the dead. - Thomas Arnold, author of the famous three-volume History of Rome, appointed to the chair of modern history at Oxford - page 217

… the Resurrection of Christ is a fact… - Benjamin Warfield of Princeton

P 219: We, as Christians, are asked to take a very great deal on trust; the teachings, for example, and the miracles of Jesus. If we had to take all on trust, I, for one, should be skeptical. The crux of the problem of whether Jesus was, or was not, what He proclaimed Himself to be, must surely depend upon the truth or otherwise of the resurrection. On that greatest point we are not merely asked to have faith. In its favour as living truth there exists such overwhelming evidence, positive and negative, factual and circumstantial, that no intelligent jury in the world could fail to bring in a verdict that the resurrection story is true.” - Lord Darling, former Chief Justice of England

As much sense as your contention that nothing made everything?

You need to watch "A Matter of Gravity" by professor John Lennox, of Oxford University.
It is on YouTube.com

Christians consider atheists such as Pol Pot, Chairman Mao, and Joseph Stalin to be pretty horrifying.
They jointly murdered over a hundred million of their own people because they were atheists.
Don't try weaseling out of it either.

What specific aspect of Atheism caused them to commit murder? Keep in mind that Atheism is simply a lack of belief in a god or gods.

There may exist phenomena which cannot be described by logic. But no coherent idea may be transmitted from one person to another without it. Otherwise, I'd be converted by the first religious nut who told me to convert to his religion. I seriously considered becoming a Hindu at one point in my life... but LOGIC deterred me.

If not by logic, then why should we believe your arguments? The design argument FOLLOWS LOGIC. You can't have it both ways. You can't dismiss logic as a mere pretense, then appeal to it when it suits your cause.

YOU SIR, strike me as DISHONEST.

Pol Pot, Mao and Stalin murdered those people because they were totalitarian regimes and the people who didn't follow the party line were sent to the work camps and gulags. Their atheism is at a cause as much as frothing at the mouth about some imaginary totalitarian regime sending people to work camps and gulags because they didn't color their houses red. The whole notion is preposterous because atheism isn't a driving force or ideology, no matter how much theists froth at the mouth about "muh communists" being atheistic. It's the totalitarian aspect, the cult of personality and ideology I think is the driving force. Atheism is anything but.

FTR, she's anti-Trump. And a progressive (so the OP implicit charges are what make no sense).

Which is irrelevant. As their is nothing these men thought or believed or did that can reflect on atheism. A lack of belief in the god proposition.

Apologist bunk .

They're, or as one of your friends here would no doubt say, "their" not apologists.  They're noted scholars.
I know that makes you very angry, but then again, anger is one of your chief metiers.
