Chaotic good. My actions are driven by how my conscience informs me rather than any authority, which is usually in accordance with what society expects (because it is good, not because it is lawful). Other times it's landed me in hot water.

So if someone occasionally breaks the law, but is too smart or to lucky to get caught (yet), they are lawful or neutral? Because they don't have a record? Your definition seems idiosyncratic, speaking to your own chaos, but your desire to impose your idiosyncratic definition on others speaks to a controlling tendency that swings you back to neutral. Just kidding, I wouldn't presume to know your alignment better than you do.

How the hell would having a job and agreeing to pay taxes to live in society .make one  not chaotic good. Chaotic good does not make one a criminal or an outlaw.

Reading the descriptions, it seems like Lawful Neutral would be a better fit than chaotic good for a lot of the people here.

Somewhere around neutral or good.  I go out of my way to do favors all the time but don't have anything against lying or stealing to get what I think I deserve or maybe to get back what's been stolen from me.

Lawful Good. I'm a stickler for obeying the rules, as long as they're rules I'm actually required to obey/have agreed to obey.

I don't even violate licensing or subscription based service user agreements lol

But I have no desire to tell anyone else what to do.

I also don't tend to judge others for minor or justifiable breaking of rules.

I guess I'm one of the few neutral goods. I'm too lawful to be chaotic and too chaotic to be lawful. But I try to be consistently good.
