Well, given that she bragged about airing her views in her schoolroom, and 2016's election had the most openly racist major party candidate since George Wallace, do you really think she'd have that many students thinking she went for Hillary Clinton?

It was sarcasm, Rev. Not sure if that came across or not. I think it did, but y'know... can't be sure on the internet...

Anyway, it's worth pointing out that if her students were able to correctly discern the candidate for whom she voted, her ideological views were definitely seeping into her lessons.

Also, taking into account her views on the intelligence of non-whites, I wonder if she gave all of her students equal treatment/help, or just wrote some of them off as unable to be educated properly.

If she used profanity and drank alcohol or posted a picture of herself in a bikini she'd be fired by now. But just a little white supremacy is A-OK.

She's a middle school teacher, so that explains a lot honestly. Some of the worst teachers I've known (as a parent, as a student, and as a teacher) have been middle school teachers. Not that there aren't some really great middle school teachers, but usually ones like her teach middle school.

Hopefully she gets fired, and isn't allowed to teach again. Though I'm sure some Christian school will gladly take her in.

You’d think that would be the default reaction to the idea that some ethnicities are inferior to others. After all, it’s not that fucking hard to find people from “inferior races” managing to rise above it all and succeed. Christ, I’m actually watching Selma right now, a film about one of MLK’s triumphs directed by a black woman, oneof the highest rated films on Rotten Tomatoes. On that film alone, you can easily find a couple examples of black people who rose above it all in the film’s story AND in the cast and crew.

Sadly, since that would be a sensible approach and the world doesn’t do sensible, they just use it as an excuse to not give a shit and maybe, along the way, take them by the hand and tell them “STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF! WHY ARE YOU HITTING YOURSELF!”
