I didn't find any topic about this in here, and this wave of cold just seems very...apocalyptic?
I don't want to jump to conclusions, but humanity's disgusting switch into what we see today -from wars to monopoly of wealth- will not pass this easily.

Climate change is known to be caused by the industrial revolution and the crazy consumption of fossil fuel; years and years spent creating war machines and not making clean energy.

Humanity ruined earth.

I thought this was going to be about Stalin Junior.

I mean, Putin.

It is the very nature of life to consume as much as possible until it reaches a limit. This is why I am quite pessimistic about the future. I don't think we can help ourselves.

I think things can be harder for a long while, but I still hold out hope it is not too late if the world's population pulls it's head out of its ass. I would agree that humans are the invasive species.

I had to drive like a stunt driver to get to and from work cos of all that snow. Mounted the pavement a couple of times. I still never missed a day though.
I think snow and ice look really pretty but fuck that cold. If snow came down when it was warm that would be perfect.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

A few inches of snow and the UK grinds to a halt. This time last year I was in Switzerland, several feet of snow in places and the trains ran on time (to the second!)

Don't make the mistake of giving that ass too much credit ! Stalin is a WW2 peg that slapped the Nazis; I don't think a KGB dog like Putin is even worthy..all he can do is bomb cities crowded with civilians to make a name for his frozen alliances.

If his enemies weren't so dumb themselves; he wouldn't have made it so far.

We can conclude the importance of "self control". Without that meaning, so many things will lose value, that's why it's still a known fact that self control and taking what is enough for us only is the way to go.

Eat a lot, you become obese. Drink a lot, you pee a lot. Sleep a lot, you miss the whole working day. Don't work a lot, nobody make you food.

Abuse manufacturing, and you create a global warming.

I think it's already too late..

Our generation, maybe the next might cheat global doom. But I think it's coming, especially with political crisis -like crazies like Trump and Kim reaching presidency-, and environmental crisis like these taking place.
But humanity IS invasive, no doubt about that.

I never saw snow in my life. But I think the cold in general is pretty.
Winter is amazing, even the chilling atmosphere is deserts at night in the winter, but no, snow in the heat would be just ugly.

I think Switzerland is used to low temperatures, I mean it's ready for the snow.
The UK isn't. It's rain that pours  all the time.

In that regard, are they related?

I mean like a chain ? this is happening due to the melting of the north pole -I think-, which is an implication of global warming.
Both in 2018, both in the same region. So does that mean anything?

I think Europe is going into a new ice age. No no IT IS a coming Ice age.
