The only reason evangelicals support Trump is because he has an 'R' next to his name. Evangelicals have concluded that the Republican party promises to deliver those things of most interest to evangelicals, small, pro-religion government, conservative justices, and moral and social conservatism. It's all about self-interest. The evangelicals would vote for Zippy the Pinhead if he had an 'R' next to his name. It's more about party loyalty than it is about character.
