Guiding Thought for My Life: Think Your Own Thoughts

Guiding Thought for My Life: Think Your Own Thoughts
I've had it up to absolute here with people who think they've got life all figured out. Common sense is nothing more than oohing and ahing over the emperors new clothes. I mean can everybody be wrong?

All my life I've been accused of not having any common sense. After hitting forty, I no longer see it as an accusation. I now see it as kudos.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.

I'd agree, but add don't keep your thoughts isolated.

Sorry if this is too deep or anything, but I think Emerson put it best...

Emerson Wrote:To believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men,—that is genius. Speak your latent conviction, and it shall be the universal sense; for the inmost in due time becomes the outmost,—and our first thought is rendered back to us by the trumpets of the Last Judgment.
...
Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind. Absolve you to yourself, and you shall have the suffrage of the world.

Kudos to the last two sentences,
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
