If we can't debate and challenge theistic views, then there's no benefit for us as atheists from having such a subforum. If theists only want safe space, there are already other forums for that.

I'll start with a simple question for our resident theists:
Even if it was reasonable to believe some classical god exists, give me one good reason why it has to be the Abrahamic god worshiped by Jews, Christians, and Muslims.
I cant produce such a reason...but that shouldn't be taken to be instructive for the thousands of gods we've imagined (or the thousands we haven't).

The subforum would have no benefit to you because you behave like a pretentious tween. Not because you are an atheist. It's just confusing, because there's a lot of overlap on here.

I explained my intention for the subforum thoroughly and repeatedly over the course of numerous posts on a thread that is now 20+ pages long. And that is what you come away with? That it's supposed to be a section where atheists can't challenge/debate with Christians? Lol.
Either you are being disingenuous on purpose for the sake of trash talking us, or you honestly did not comprehend the words that were typed out in front of you.
Neither option makes you look good, but I think the latter is the more charitable assumption, so I'll take that.

I think that it is interesting; the number of people who seem to think that a section limited to civilized conversation is a hinderence to their atheistic voice! This thread is hilarious and somewhat enlightening.

If only it worked that way. The trial is not here, but in creating a safe space.
And I'm always going to bring that round by saying that if they wanted a safe space, they should be debating on forums that will support their ideologies. This place is not for creating safe spaces for theists and given the name of the entire web site, it shouldn't be.
