But why in the world posit an elaborate remote control for organisms rather than allow that the governance arises with all the other organism's functioning? Why must there be one universe in which objects exist and another for 'souls'? Seems like a regular Rube Goldberg arrangement to me.

From a psychological viewpoint, you are not happy with your life. You are so unhappy that you wish you had the guts to end it in order to experience the eternity you think awaits you later, except that you also realize there's this silly religious rule forbidding suicide. If you were truly honest with yourself, you would realize that fear of dying and experiencing the truth of nothing is what makes you illogically cling to the fantasy of a religious afterlife.

What if God gives eternal life to those who wish it? And those who wish to die, get permanent death?
God doesn't give life. We are life eternal. God just created this universe and planet and our flesh to inhabit.

I have seen a lot of BS in the past 3 years on TTA, but this thread, MK, Atlas and this person......Jesus.F.Christ, thats a whole new level of insanity. A completely different league.

I thought you believed our immortality was owing to something joined to us but not of our bodies, correct? So I'm just wondering why our earthly bodies are good enough to support sensory/motor functions. Did I get that wrong?
