You assume that people would. There may be a handful of antitheists that don't want you around, but your persecution complex has no foundation in reality. Most people don't care.

I prefer the presence of theists on the site. Otherwise we just wind up in a echo chamber. Anyone who becomes too odius, we'll there's an ignore feature for those people, and they are not all theists by any means. Atheists can be odius picks too. Big Grin

And , of course, while they're here they're not elsewhere making life diffucult for others and plotting among themselves against us.

Plus it gives the like of LR a place to play while he's off his meds and out of his padded room.

And those who do care have expressed interest in theist voices being included.  I'm one of those.

However, for us to be chums, you can't shake my hand when I say I can respect your position and then tell me you're here to change mine.

Every large truck stop has a chapel. Worship services are announced on Sunday mornings. You see truckers sporting Christian hats, t-shirts, crosses and bible verses on their trucks. Yeah, its very prevalent. If it gives them hope that's cool. I just worry about the occasional fanatic that holds a false sense of security because of his faith.

This forum was designed from the start to be a place for atheists and theists. Our meta description on Google has always been "Atheist Forums provides a place for friendly discussion and debate between atheists and other like-minded individuals, as well as theists." and always will be. If you don't like theists being here, go find another forum. We've had theist members of staff in the past, I have no objections to having them again. There's no reason why theists can't help contribute to the running of this site if they share our values (friendly discussion and debate).
