Is this reasonable?

RE: Is this reasonable?
Faeries have appeared on Supernatural, so they must be real!

Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni:

"You did WHAT?  With WHO?  WHERE???"

You are employing the black raven paradox!

All the ravens I've seen are black, therefore all ravens are black! wrong!
All the fairies near you are invisible, therefore you've come to the false conclusion that all faeries don't exist! Wrong!
I don't believe whales exist, because I've never seen one! ever!
Is that white stuff called snow even a thing? I think it's just for effects in movies Dunno

Actually, that *isn't* the standard black raven paradox! This is simply the problem of induction.

The black raven paradox starts by noting that the statement 'All ravens are black' is logically equivalent to 'All non-black things are non-ravens'. So, every single thing that you see that isn't black and is also not a raven is evidence for 'All ravens are black'. So, for example, seeing a blue car is evidence that all non-black things are non-ravens, so it is evidence that 'All ravens are black'.
