Quote:'milk' refers to an opaque white viscous liquid
I'd reply further, but I have to run down to the shops to pick up a few gallons of latex milk and a few milk brushes and rollers.

That actually is a thing, lol.
Because I just can't help myself........and it;s related to evolution of a kind....
Milk is a verb. We use it to denote cows milk as an object now because of the ubiquity of that product, just like everyone who speaks stage 2 southern american english calls every soda "coke". I dated a girl from indiana once who insisted on calling coke pop.....and that's why we never had kids together. As in children, not goats.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

There's a perfectly logical, sound reason why this is an issue for me - I'm a very petty man when it comes to language. A few other things that drive me spare:
-When people quote something and say, 'Quote...unquote.' It's 'end quote'.
-'Febuary'. There's another hard 'r' in there. Use it.
-'I could care less.' Well, we all could, I suppose.
I list more, but just typing those is making my brain beat faster .

A number of people also refer to milk as the semen. "Bebe meu leitinho".
Correction: milk comes from female mammals breasts, not from the father of mankind.

I didn’t know the proper ceremonial etiquette for greeting the lord of linguistic probity involved clicking of the heels and raising of the stiffened arm.
I'm saving that one!
