What do you think of Wicca?
RE: What do you think of Wicca?
Where I;m from they call it speaking out of both sides of one;s mouth. Where he;s from, they call it taqiya.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

You see, this is what I mean, if you present Quran as is, and deal with it.  I would see it's ok. But to speak of Quran as if you know what it teaches or that you know how it should be interpreted, is deceiving.

You are no authority over God, for one, you don't recite often, and for two, you don't seek the legacy and knowledge from the family of the reminder that properly interpret it.

And when people speak about God what they don't know,  and continuously oppose a book out of ignorance, and never try really to understand it....

I don;t believe in any of the silly stories of your fellow religionists and don;t feel the urge to join any of your clubs....it;s clearly not an impediment to my possessing knowledge about them.

Honestly, and I commented on this earlier..it helps to build a wider base of knowledge. Think about all the turds you;ve been dropping about wicca just in this thread. How did you come to be so hilariously wrong about wicca? Is it -possible- that you;ve been tripping over your own religious beliefs? Is it -possible- that in the absence of what has obviously been a severe indoctrination...you might have been able to get wicca right?

The fact you see it as stories and don't even reflect over the lessons in it means you shouldn't speak about it because you never really tried to understand.

Atheistic perspective: spells do nothing, just psychological deceiving placebo

Wiccan Perspective: spells work because magic is real and psychic energy is a reality.

Islam Perspective: spells work but guidance of God is better.

What do you really have to say when you neither believe in Wiccan or Islam perspective, you talk about both like you an expert. I use to sit at chapters and just read New Age and Wiccan books, I went through a whole book about spells and I've even read from them that not every Wiccan agrees hostile magic is wrong, it's where it's used, harmful magic has it's uses according to some.

I've read and I don't care about your dumb downed versions of what you read about Wicca and nature.

Oh Mystic...lol, you sad...sad thing. We learn plenty from stories.  The trouble..and this thread has been a case example..sis that stories are equally capable of miseducation.

You;ve been miseducated by a story. Worse, still, that miseducation has transformed you into a terrible human being.

I know you;ve been told this countless times..but atheism is about a belief in gods..not magic.  Some magic performing wiccans are also atheists.  / shrugs.

Wiccans, like atheists..aren;t a hivemind.  A belief in witchcraft is not a requirement for wiccan religion.

Why lie to a person who is obviously going to know that you;re lying?

Sooo, tomorrow is the summer solstice, and I’ve been reading about how rituals are celebrated on such days. I’ve always taken a subtle mental note of the solstices but the pagan traditions have been hijacked by religions. I’m going to see what the Pagans do for such a day.

Drink and eat little cakes.  Wink

Quote:3/4c softened butter, 2c brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1T lemon juice, 2T grated lemon rind, 2c sifted flour, 1c finely chopped pecans.
Cream butter in a large non-metallic mixing bowl. Gradually add the brown sugar, mixing well.
Add eggs, lemon juice, and rind, then mix well until mixture is well blended.
Cover the bowl with a white or yellow towel or cloth napkin, and refrigerate overnight. The next day, shape dough into 1" balls and place approx 3" apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for abut 20 minutes. Cool on racks. Yields 36ct.
(wicca is a baking drinking and book club with a heavy emphasis on candles and aromatherapy)
