Pro-Life Atheists

From societal and Constitutional (USA) perspectives, I am pro-choice, in the sense that (i) a pregnant woman gets to choose whether to terminate her pregnancy or to complete it to term, and (ii) her choice is a decision protected by a right of privacy of which no one else has the right to inquire/know.  However, the fetus' rights and societal rights overtake the mother's rights once the fetus is capable of surviving on its own (like full term offspring can survive) outside of the womb.

From a personal perspective, I am a male and cannot become pregnant.  I do not believe I have standing to impose any personal beliefs upon such persons or situations.  At that point, I have no position, which can easily be construed as remaining on the side of the mother's private decision, although that is not my position.

Not sure about this website, but certainly not impossible.

It is a myth that we agree on all topics all the time.

Even on economic issues there are Ayn Rand atheists who think "fuck you I got mine" is good economic policy. Then there are atheists who think Che, the revolutionary who lead to Castro's Cuba was good. Me, I hate both those economic views. There are also atheists who support our free for all flooded market of firearms too.

So yea, I am sure there are atheists against abortion. I wouldn't say that many, but it also would not surprise me.

"Atheist" merely means "off" on claims of deities/gods/God. Outside that we are politically diverse, class diverse, different education levels too. We exist in every nation and have left every religion you can think of. We come in all skin tones and nationalities.

Most atheist I think would say, even if they are against it, would still default to staying out of people's personal lives.

Oh I know that pro-life Atheists exist in general, as I am one of them, and the conservative estimate for the US is 6 million non-religious pro-lifers, but I was curious if there are any here. I wanted to show my brand new forum for us

Yeah, pro-lifers want to stay out of people's personal lives, which is why we don't think they should be forced to die when they are young Wink

Dying to live, living to die.

Lol. Veganism has been growing a lot the last 10 years so I certainly won't be the last.

Save a cow. Eat a vegan.

No, that's not what medical science tells us. I'm not sure what being vegan, healthcare and war have to do with this discussion.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Yes it is. Find me embryologists who disagree if you think they are out there.

To point out that I am pro-all-life and not just anti-abortion.

Ok douchebag, if it is to be considered murder, then be willing to treat it the same as when two robbers rob a bank and and one kills the teller. BOTH are charged equally in such a crime. So if you want to call abortion murder, then what should happen to the female? Offer up a punishment to the female or admit you are full of shit.
