My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

I love when Steve tries to challenge us to

I also love how everything with Steve is what percent believe something or did something or define something   makes it valid
Seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy -- myself.

I've seen that many times, I'm not even sure what that is meant to say they are saying they are not each other, but all are god..

so Jesus is god
(god the)Father is god
Holy spirit is god..

It simply takes us back to where we were.. all three are god, therefore god still sacrificed god to god, or perhaps even worse, a part of himself to other parts of himself.

Even sillier

It's saying 1+1+1=1

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Never made sense to me either, maybe one day someone will explain it to me not sure.
I did spend a quarter of a century as christian and asked over and over again, I'm not even sure those who tried to explain it even understood it (despite knowing the theology), it never stood up to scrutiny and always boiled down to something like ''some things we just have to accept on faith''

My indifference to the doctrine of the Trinity is total. I'm not remotely interested in expressing such nonsense to a Christian's satisfaction. There's only so much bullshit I'm prepared to ponder on any given day. They lost my interest with the miraculously resurrected Jewish guy. Everything that follows from that is nothing but an interconnected set of embarrassing beliefs that should make anyone over the age of ten blush to proclaim.

Let's see if any of our resident religitards will listen to Bart Ehrman?

I'm guessing "no."

Just think of the trinity with this easy analogy:

If you ask me this is a whole hell of a lot more useful than your fucking imaginary 3-in-1 god!

Sure you can define it theologically, but so what ? it still has to make some kind of sense to be believed.

My point is that these types of threads are really an asinine form of entertainment to those that regularly participate. There is no one in these first few pages really interested in the topic in order to learn more or clarify something they don't understand. Now will follow 8-10 pages of idiocy as people comment on something they can't even properly articulate as if they are saying something even worth the millivolt to light one pixel.

Go ahead, someone prove me wrong. Correctly articulate the doctrine of the Trinity--a key, mainstream Christian belief.

Yeah, I wonder why it’s nearly impossible to articulate, Steve?
