It is said by some that religious moderates are just as dangerous as religious fanatics because they enable religious fanatics.
Yet if we take a look at the numbers, most of the people in the world are currently either religious moderates or religious fanatics of one sort or another.
Whatever it's factual basis, it cannot be denied that religion is very effective at promoting itself.
If religion is so destructive and up to this point is not seen to be rapidly diminishing, is there any hope for humanity?

Yes.
Religions are already dead as explanations of the natural world. All thats left is superstition, myth and magic.

For Man to move forward we must throw away religion, and put it in the Mythology section, and then use Reason, Logic, and Common sense to solve all our daily problems. That's a Higher Level of Thinking.
