Hmm. I live about 30 miles from that observatory. I completely missed this eclipse. Undecided

I'm confused though.  I didn't think we'd be able to see it at all in the US.  Weird.

Well, the moon must be in eclipse, I can't see it.

Or it's early afternoon and the moon is on the opposite side of the planet.

Yep, hasn't risen in Portugal yet. We should be able to see it. It's 9 PM and its still bright.

I guess the sun needs to sink more into the water. If you watch a sunset by the ocean you can hear a 'fiiiiiizzzzzzz" sound. I shit you not.

I'm actually watching it with my daughter right now! It's currently behind a building, so we are back inside waiting another 20 minutes until it pops up above the rooflines where we can see it again. We walked about 6 blocks until we got a clear view about 20 minutes ago. I'll share the grainy crappy photos I took shortly, lol.
Ok, here's the grainy photo.  I tried, I really did, but there were streetlamps all around and we could just barely see it in a gap between the trees.  Hoping we get a better view shortly.
