I didn't really understand the appeal of the original but at least it looked original and had character. That film looks completely formulaic. And that scene at the end running off the side of a bus to grab onto a helicopter was a complete CGI stunt which is boring and silly. You just know the conversation that happened when planning that film.

Higgens is just Lara Croft with a new name. Not sure if I can adjust.
That eccentricity was one of the most endearing things about the original show. And the mustache. Without those, what are we left with? Just another PI show I guess. But I'll watch it for sure. . . give it a few episodes to grow on me. RE: New Magnum PI, Higgens is female.

There had to be a token female character in there somewhere even if it is the Strong Female Character trope with no other personality. This is the teenies after all, not the 80's when we didn't even get token characters. Yay progress.  RE: New Magnum PI, Higgens is female.
