In other words, we don't need no school.  Cool

Well said.  I never liked school.  I prefer to be an autodidact.

That would have been great but I was never limber enough to reach it.  Fortunately there have been a few kind women in my life and a few of those with real talent.

If you live with a number of people your own age and your home wi-fi is slow it means either your male flatmate is downloading porn, or your female flatmate is uploading it.

Well, if you want to go that direction, I'd say the Atiyah-Singer Index Theorem is the biggest thing I've learned. But the most useful is probably the Urysohn Lemma.

You have to give someone permission before they can piss you off. Deny permission and watch them fume in your place.  Diablo

That as you get older it's not the failures that you regret or that you made an ass of yourself, but the times you never even tried. Just lost your nerve.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

It's under the hood but far forward of the exhaust.  Just the tip, tho. You need the right sort of extension bar and a schem to get to the rest of it.

That no matter how badly you want or need it to happen, they just aren't going to go away.

...that running away from myself takes me to duller places than running with myself.

Or something like that, anyways.
