Currently, no. At the time I guess that I was kinda a deist- god of the gaps kinda guy. I was a kid, just there to argue for the sake of it,
Well here's to growing up and joining the group on even ground.

Ha ha, thanks mate . I probably won't stay- I'm actually majoring in philosophy though, so maybe I can contribute even better. Learning about kalam and the cosmological arguments and ontological arguments and hilbert's hotel and all that stuff. Just wanted to swing by because I've followed that forum on and off for five years. Man, time flies.

TTT?
I seriously have no idea who you are.
Me neither.
Main reason I went on TTA was to fight the proselytisers. I generally ignored the fly-by trolls as not particularly interesting.

It's what kids do. I think because they get their first taste of being able to have an effect on the larger world without being ignored and dismissed as a child.

Awesome. Then maybe you can produce something not stupid. The kalam argument has deficits you might want to address. Feel free. What is your thinking on the matter?

My study is mostly focused on philosophy of mind, but one big problem I have with Craig and the whole kalam argument is how quickly they dispose of the "Big Crunch" theory of the universe. Besides the epistemology, I also dispute the claim that the universe had a beginning, because I think that there always was a state of affairs, even in a big bang or pre-big bang scenario.

If a tree falls on a philosopher in the woods, and there's no one else around to hear the SMOOSH, does it make a sound?

I'm retreating to the refugee thread for a little bit. It's nice here.

At least the format looks familiar, and I sure am glad to see so many familiar names. Hopefully even more will follow as we learn to navigate from TTA to here. I hope this place can handle our invasion of their space. I can hardly stand the idea of how many at The Thinking Atheist won't get the word about the shut down since it's such short notice, and their first inkling will be trying to access a site that just won't be there any more.
Yeah I went to get on there to give an update as I had been gone a while due to a death in the family and work and school, only to find it was down, upsetting to say the least. I searched up google for another forum to join, this was the most requested and rated, so came over here. Maybe others will do the same.
