GOP midterm bloodbath due to Trump could lead to mass exodus of conservatives looking for a new party: report

According to a report from Axios, the steady trickle of high profile conservative pundits abandoning the GOP could be the precursor to a flood of mainstream Republican voters following them believing that the party has become synonymous with Donald Trump, much to their dismay.

The report notes that Trump has hit a low in his approval ratings — 38 percent in a recent Gallup poll — yet continues to suck up all the oxygen in the room when people talk about Republicans Party.

I think it’s endlessly funny that it took Trump for the GOP establishment to finally figure out just whom they’d been courting these past decades with their anti-intellectualism, their pandering to the Jesus crowd, and their nudge-and-wink appeals to pissed off low income whites who needed brown-skinned people to blame for their lot in life. Well, fuck them — all of them.

Will there be a mass exodus from the party? I doubt it. Republicans’ ability to rewrite history is awesome in its shamelessness. By the time it’s all over, Trump will be seen as an embarrassment that is somehow precisely not their fault.

Truth is that I just don't see much of a difference between the WLB and the 16 other shitheads who were seeking the nomination.  Some were a bit more intellectual - the kiss of death with that bunch of fucktards - but all of them were "help the rich - fuck the poor" scumbags and poor people voted for them.  I mean it isn't hard to figure out why stupidity is prized in the GOP.

I always found your seemingly 2 party system odd. Bit then again; our system has drawbacks too. We went for over a year without an ellected government.
